Ron was one of the original founders of MKI in October 1990, and has been in the insurance business since 1980. MKI is a brokerage that markets annuities and insurance through financial institutions and independent agents. Ron is also the CEO of First Financial Security, a national brokerage agency.
Ron has served in a variety of positions with local, state and national chapters of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, including three years on the National Membership Committee and is a past National Committeeman for the Missouri NAIFA. He has also served on the Advisory Board of the Missouri Department of Insurance, Financial Institutions and Professional Registration and is the 2010 recipient of the prestigious Herbert A. Hedges, Sr. award, presented by NAIFA-Greater Kansas City.
Ron is active in his church. He is currently serving (since 2016) on the Board of Directors of the Lutheran Church Extension Fund. He previously served for 9 years on the Board of Directors for the Missouri District of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod, and is the past chairman of the District’s Youth Board.
Ron and his wife, Liz, live in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. They have two adult children.
